Do I need a reservation for the Beer Garden / Pizzeria?

As we frequently get busy Friday to Sunday, it’s best to make a reservation online. Click here to make a reservation. We cannot guarantee admission otherwise.

 

Do I need a reservation for the morning café?

Reservations are not required - the mornings are a very casual affair.

 

I’m on the standby list – what does this mean?

Placing yourself on the standby list means that we are booked out and that you’re on a waiting list for any potential booking openings. We’ll contact you should we be able to accommodate your booking request.

 

Does The Cedar Social offer takeaway?

We welcome takeaway orders. Please note that we accept online takeaway orders through our portal on Tuesday to Thursday. Takeaway orders can also be placed in-person at the bar.

 

Why do you not offer online takeaway orders on Friday to Sunday?

These are our peak dine-in times and we don’t want to compromise and deter from the dine-in experience of our patrons.

 

How do I make a booking for larger than 12 people?

Send us an email at thecedarsocial@gmail.com or contact us via Facebook messenger with your best contact number, email and group booking size. We’ll let you know if we have the space to accommodate. Minimum spend charges may apply depending on the time, duration and / or number of people.

 

Is The Cedar Social associated with Pure Tennis?

We are not in any way associated with Pure Tennis, we lease the space to bring you a unique dining experience. All enquiries related to Tennis should be handled directly with Pure Tennis.

 

Wet Weather – what’s the plan?

We're an outdoor venue with some (albeit limited) sheltered seating arrangements. Our venue is designed and best enjoyed in favourable weather conditions.

 

If there appears to be torrential rain, we’ll consider closing the venue. Sorry! All bookings will be contacted and notified of the closure (via email and / or phone).

 

Do you cater for Gluten Free?

Yes, we make our own gluten free pizza bases from the highest quality imported ingredients. We cannot guarantee a gluten free environment while operating with a single pizza oven.

 

I prefer to drink out of glass – why is this not an option?

We too would love to use glass! Glass is far cheaper than the high-grade polycarbonate glasses we are compelled to use for safety reasons (as we are operating from a sporting complex and on a turfed area). Polycarbonate is used for everyone’s safety.

Why do you serve your food on biodegradable plates?

We would love to use reusable plates, but our venue sits below the road wastewater line and has a complex and limited wastewater management system. For time being, our only option is to use biodegradable plates, cutlery and napkins.

 

Does The Cedar Social accommodate for functions and large groups?

Speak to us about hiring out the venue for an exclusive function - minimum spends apply.

 

Can I BYO to The Cedar Social?

We are a fully licensed venue with a full drinks list: beer, wine, spirits, etc and for this reason we are not BYO.

 

Does The Cedar Social cater for Vegans?

We certainly do! We proudly make some of the best vegan pizza in and around Brisbane! Just ask a Vegan friend that’s eaten with us!

 

Where are you located?

We are located on the commercial premises of Pure Tennis Ferny Hills. 144 Samford Road, Ferny Hills.

 

Do you have parking on-site?

Yes, we have plenty of parking, turn into the Pure Tennis Ferny Hills driveway and follow the signs.

 

Can I bring my own food / cake?

Send us a message. We are complying with all COVID regulations and guidelines.

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs (and have a number of our own) however due to the busyness of the site and the significant number of children, its best to leave you fury friends at home during the beer garden / pizzeria hours.
